In light of the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, the need for urgent surgical interventions has significantly increased, while the available operating rooms remain insufficient to meet the growing demand. This project aims to establish and equip a new major operating room at Al-Shifa Medical Complex, the largest referral hospital in Gaza, to respond to the influx of wounded and injured individuals.
The project will enhance the hospital’s capacity to perform critical surgeries and ensure timely, life-saving interventions. It will also support the medical teams working under extreme pressure and mitigate the risks posed by overcrowding and delayed treatments. Without this intervention, lives will continue to be lost due to limited surgical capacity and insufficient medical resources.
